Take Our Survey! — NFEDP Feasibility Study 2009

City/County Connectivity Survey

The North Florida Economic Development Partnership (NFEDP) Feasibility Study Team, led by Government Services Group, Inc., (GSG), is attempting to identify the current broadband services available and the need for access to broadband in the 14-county North Florida region. We wish to increase our understanding of the needs, availability, and actual costs of services being offered provided throughout the region. This information will allow an accurate understanding of the value (and feasibility) of building a Broadband Middle Mile Network. The information that would be of greatest benefit at this point would be from City, County, and State agencies, commercial business entities, and residential rate-payers.

Take Our Survey!

Below we have linked a simple survey asking for information on public and private sector entities in the region. We intend to gain a snapshot of the range of broadband services available in the region now, the monthly costs of those services, and what level or speed of connection will meet the needs of the region's key public and private sector businesses, service providers, and employers.

The final Feasibility Study Report will be a publicly available document. However, data collected will be collected and reported on only for the purposes of this report. We will accept information submitted anonymously (without Company or Provider names), requesting only that the information be as accurate and complete as possible. Specific location information is important for accurately laying out the final network configuration, determining the level of in-kind assets that may be available, and best supporting the Last Mile providers and anchor institutions that may be served by the network.

Please complete the location, connectivity, and application sections of this survey for each location in your city/county which is or would like to be connected to the Internet, if there is more than one. Time is of the essence to submit for analysis, so we ask you to complete this survey as soon as you can.
